Markland Technologies Announces Conference Call to
Discuss Forecasts for the 4th Quarter of 2003 and First Quarter of 2004.


RIDGEFIELD, Conn., Oct 27, 2003 - Markland Technologies, Inc. (OTC: MRKL), an integrated homeland security company, (www.marklandtech.com) announced today it will hold a conference call on November 18th for analysts, shareholders, and others to discuss with Markland's management the next two quarters revenue and earnings estimates.

Markland previously announced a series of initiatives designed to realize two goals:

     -- Help Markland exploit the opportunities presented by the
          Homeland Security Marketplace, and

     -- Provide an optimum structure for present and future investors
          to realize a positive return.

Markland's management will discuss the substantial progress made on these initiatives, and present their expectations for the next 12 months.

Ken Ducey, Markland's President and CFO stated, "Markland is a different company today than it was when we first announced our vision to shareholders last December. We have made substantial progress on our mission to become a world-class provider of products and services to the Homeland Security Marketplace. Recent acquisitions have included revenue-generating contracts that will significantly impact the Company's financials moving forward. Expected expenditures for Homeland Security in the US alone is over $20 billion over the next year, and Markland will continue to grow into that market place.
